Proposed Santa Fe Warehouse
Historic District

Fresno, California

This district was originally proposed as part of an undated Historic Districts Plan, prepared for the City of Fresno by Brenda M. Carter. The 1994 Supplementary Historic Building Survey for the Ratkovich Plan Area, by John Edward Powell and Michael J. McGuire, proposed an expanded set of boundaries for this district.

As defined by Powell and McGuire the boundaries of the district are P Street on the southwest, Tulare Street on the northwest, R Street on the northeast, and Ventura Street on the southeast (view map of district boundary and some contributing buildings).

Other prominent buildings in this proposed district include the Wormser Warehouse (764 P Street), the Western Meat Company (744 P Street), and the Santa Fe Hotel (935 Santa Fe Avenue).
