Wormser Building (1909) 764 P Street
Industrial Brick, Period Revival influence
This building housed the largest furniture
outlet in the San Joaquin Valley, the Wormser Furniture Company. With its ideal
location along the Santa Fe rail line, direct purchases could be made from
every part of the country, making the company a sales leader statewide.
Western Meat Company (1910) 744 P Street
Industrial Brick, Period Revival influence
This building was at one time the Valley's
largest poultry processing center. Some 350,000 turkeys and chickens annually
were shipped out of this facility for statewide use. A creamery was added in
1917, and a sausage plant and smoke house were added in 1930.

Industrial Brick, Period Revival influence
The Fresno Consumer's Ice Company was the
first ice plant in the San Joaquin Valley concerned solely with making of ice
and the first company to make home deliveries with horse-drawn wagons.

National Register of Historic Places, and more
