This home claims stylistic influences from both the Spanish Eclectic as well as the asymmetrical sub-type of the Italian Renaissance Revival. It was constructed in 1926 by the contracting firm of Fisher and McNulty. The home includes an extant second story sleeping porch on the rear elevation. F. Rex Sporleder was by 1950 the sole owner of the Hollenbeck-Bush Planing Mill in Fresno. The home was designated as an individual resource on the Local Register of Historic Resources by the Fresno City Council on September 25, 2014.
