No original building permit is on file in the City of Fresno but Huntington Homeowners' Association research on the property states that Alta Vista Homes constructed this Prairie style home in 1919-1920. Alta Vista Homes was the business entity of developers Fred Billings and Rhine Meyering. The Casners owned the Casner Drug Store chain and they lived in this home for 43 years.
