W. H. Richmond built this residence for himself, but apparently sold it immediately to the Thompsons. Thomas R. Thompson was prominent in the Fresno legal community, and served as a Superior Court Judge for District 1 from 1932 until 1950. The family owned the home for forty-eight years.
