This was built as the home of Ingvart T. Teilman, a Danish-born civil engineer. Teilman surveyed the city's first sewer system, and was a planner for the Pine Flat Dam project. Though the house has a Kearney Boulevard address, it is located at the intersection of Kearney Boulevard and Teilman Avenue, the latter of which is also named for Ingvart Teilman.
