H.P. #213
Fresno Fire Department No. 3 (1939)
1406-1430 Fresno Street
Edward W. Peterson, Architect
PWA Moderne
This building is significant as an excellent example of the PWA Moderne style, a common building type during the Depression-era 1930s. Such projects were funded by the New Deal Public Works Administration program, from which the style takes it name. There are few surviving examples in Fresno of this caliber.
