Mary Matson Home (1904)
1440 E. Divisadero Street
with Prairie and Craftsman details
This home is the oldest remaining structure in its neighborhood, and is a striking example of the American Foursquare type with Prairie details, as particularly seen in the treatment of the roof eaves and brackets. The property also has one of the few extant barns in the City (complete with hay mow and loft openings).
