This farmhouse, originally facing onto Home Avenue, predated the subdivision of Van Ness Avenue. Dr. Walter and Emma Miller purchased the house in 1917. Emma Miller was for many years a lecturer in English at Fresno State College. In the 1950s the house was moved to the lot next door and turned to face Van Ness Avenue. This building burned down in 2013.
